BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Chris Hass scored 21 points and added three steals as Bucknell snapped a two-game losing streak at Sabler Arena by posting an 82-76 win at Lehigh on Monday night.
The Bison (8-8, 5-0) struggled through a seven-game losing streak going into Patriot League play and now are riding a five-game win streak. Bucknell is 5-0 to start conference for the first time since 2011-12 and the seventh team to start 5-0 in the league's 26-year history.
Bucknell shot 50.9 percent from the field (28 of 55), including 11 of 22 from beyond arc. Stephen Brown added 14 points and six assists and Nana Foulland and D.J. MacLeay added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Mountain Hawks (4-12, 2-3), were the preseason pick to win the conference title, with Bucknell picked to finish second.
Tim Kempton and Kyle Leufroy scored 29 and 23 points, respectively for Lehigh.
