CHICAGO (AP) — Jadon Cohee and Jack Crook scored 12 points apiece, Brendan Westendorf added 11, and Seattle cruised to a 66-50 win over Chicago State on Saturday.

Chicago State missed its first eight shots from the floor, didn't score a basket until after five minutes, and trailed 26-7 with 7:13 left in the half. Westendorf's layup with five seconds to go in the first put Seattle (7-9, 1-1 Western Athletic Conference) up 34-15 at intermission.

The Cougars got it going a bit in the second half, but never really threatened.

Seattle shot over 46 percent from the floor, including 7 of 12 on 3-point attempts. The Redhawks held a 36-27 rebound advantage and led by as many as 24.

Chicago State (4-11, 0-1) shot under 33 percent and was just 5 of 24 beyond the arc. Freshman Anthony Eaves led the Cougars with a career-high 18 points off the bench.
