Woody Allen writes, directs and stars in his latest contemporary romantic comedy, also starring (in alphabetical order) George Hamilton, Téa Leoni, Debra Messing, Mark Rydell, Tiffani Thiessen and Treat Williams. Allen stars as Val Waxman, a two-time Oscar® winner turned washed-up, neurotic director in desperate need of a comeback. When it comes, Waxman finds himself backed into a corner: Work for his ex-wife Ellie (Téa Leoni) who dumped him for the studio head (Treat Williams) bankrolling the picture, or forfeit his last shot and avoid a painful reconnect. Is Val blinded by love when he opts for the reconnect? Is love blind when it comes to Ellie’s staunch support? Literally and figuratively, the proof is in the picture. "Hollywood Ending" is produced by Letty Aronson, with Helen Robin serving as co-producer. Stephen Tenenbaum is the executive producer, and Jack Rollins and Charles H. Joffe are the co-executive producers. The film reunites some of Allen’s behind-the-scenes creative team who collaborated with the director on "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion" and "Small Time Crooks," including production designer Santo Loquasto, editor Alisa Lepselter and casting directors Juliet Taylor and Laura Rosenthal. Working for the first time with Allen on "Hollywood Ending" are cinematographer Wedigo von Schultzendorff and costume designer Melissa Toth.
