DENVER (AP) — Denver's Broncos will have a familiar face behind center for the playoffs. The team has announced that Peyton Manning has won back his starting job after recovering from a left foot injury. The move sends Brock Osweiler (AHS'-wy-lur), who did a fine job filling in, back to the bench.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The newest member of the Washington Nationals has been introduced. Second baseman Daniel Murphy has joined the Nats after playing for the Mets. During the playoffs last fall he homered in six straight games for the Mets on the way to the World Series.

KAPALUA, Hawaii (AP) — The first round of the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions is today in Kapalua, Hawaii. There's a strong field with Jordan Spieth (speeth), Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson leading the way.

UNDATED (AP) — Two Top-10 games are on the schedule in men's basketball tonight. Leading the way is fifth-ranked Michigan State as the Spartans are home to Illinois. The other game has seventh-ranked Arizona playing at UCLA.

NEW YORK (AP) — The top two teams in the NHL's Metropolitan Division are facing off tonight in New York. The second-place Islanders are taking on Washington, which leads the division by 12 points.
