DOVER, Del. (AP) — The latest on a Delaware court hearing regarding prison accommodations for a former death row inmate awaiting retrial for a 2010 drug-related killing (all time):

An attorney for Delaware's prison system has assured a judge that a former death row inmate will be able to meet privately with his defense lawyers as he awaits retrial for a 2010 drug-related killing.
The judge held a hearing Wednesday after the attorney for Isaiah McCoy complained that McCoy was being denied access to a prison law library and that he was unable to have face-to-face meetings with McCoy outside the presence of prison guards.
The hearing comes four months after the judge ordered McCoy be released from solitary confinement and transferred into the general prison population.
In his August ruling, the judge noted that solitary confinement impeded McCoy's ability to meet with his lawyers.
