HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A father accused of keeping 11 children in a filthy home full of trash, feces and raw meat has been arrested in Pennsylvania.

Tyree Fluellen, of Steelton, was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.

Child welfare workers found maggots overflowing in trash cans in the home, and toilets and bathtubs were filled with feces. Raw meat and flies covered the floor.

Police say six of the children had infections caused by shigella bacteria, which can be contracted by exposure to feces.

Steelton Police Officer in Charge Anthony Minium says 29-year-old Fluellen isn't the biological father of all the kids. He says an arrest warrant is approved for one of the mothers.

Online court documents don't list an attorney who could comment on Fluellen's behalf. He remains in Dauphin County Prison.
