GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — East Carolina has hired Middle Tennessee State assistant Geep Wade to its coaching staff.

New coach Scottie Montgomery said Tuesday that Wade will coach the Pirates' offensive line, and also added Ethan Johnson as his director of player personnel.

Wade spent three years coaching the Blue Raiders' offensive line, and coached at Marshall and Chattanooga before that.

Johnson spent 10 years as the assistant director of player personnel at Duke, where Montgomery spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator before he was hired by East Carolina.
