CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Police say a Cedar City man has been arrested on allegations that he stabbed another man on New Year's Eve following an alcohol-fueled fight.

He is being held on a $75,000 bail.
Authorities say officers were called to a motel around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and found a man with multiple stab wounds.
Witnesses identified Baney as a suspect.
Officers found him in the parking lot and took him into custody.
The victim is in serious condition at a hospital.
Two witnesses suffered minor injuries when they stepped in to stop the fighting.
Investigators say alcohol likely was a factor in the skirmish.
