BALTIMORE (AP) — Jairus Lyles scored 26 points, Will Darley had 23 and Rodney Elliott added 20 as the University of Maryland, Baltimore County beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 89-75 on Thursday.

Lyles, a VCU transfer, has played in three games for UMBC and has totaled 77 points. He had 27 in a loss to Howard and 24 in a losing cause against Towson.

Elliott missed all of the 2014-15 season due to an injury and scored a career-high. Darley, who leads UMBC in field goal percentage at 54.7 percent, made all eight of his shots from the field.

Freshman Joe Sherburne added 10 points for UMBC (4-10) to finish in double figures for the 11th time in 14 games.

Devin Martin, who scored 34, 37 and 23 in his last three games, finished with 24 points on 9-of-20 shooting for UMES (3-12). He made five of the Hawks' nine 3-pointers.
