US 93 reopens near Kingman after closure due to fatal wreck

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona authorities say the highway that is the main route between Phoenix and Las Vegas has reopened after being closed near Kingman several hours early Thursday morning because of a fatal accident.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says one person was killed in the one-vehicle accident that occurred on U.S. 93 shortly after midnight.

The state Department of Transportation says both directions of traffic were closed because of the accident.
