KUNA, Idaho (AP) — A 19-year-old Nampa man died after the vehicle he was driving collided with a train in Kuna in southwest Idaho. The Ada County Coroner says Peter Justin Francois died Monday afternoon of blunt force trauma. Sheriff's deputies are working with railroad officials to investigate of the crash.

CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A 20-year-old southwest Idaho man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his part in a fatal stabbing. KTVB-TV reports that Jacob Hernandez was convicted in the December 2014 stabbing death of 20-year-old Ricardo Sedano. A co-defendant previously pleaded guilty.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A WestJet plane on a flight from Canada to Arizona landed in Boise yesterday afternoon due to a medical emergency with a passenger. Boise Airport spokesman Sean Briggs says the passenger was taken to a hospital. The plane departed after refueling.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A 74-year-old U.S. Coast Guard veteran says he'll plead guilty to using bait to hunt deer, but wants to be sentenced to jail, rather than fined. The Coeur d'Alene Press reports James Brummett of Tacoma says he wants the rules on baiting deer relaxed for disabled veteran hunters.
