ONTARIO, Ore. (AP) — Authorities are looking for an Oregon man and an Idaho man following the shooting in the head of another man in eastern Oregon near the Idaho border.

Police on Monday say they are seeking 35-year-old Daniel Bermudez Miranda of Ontario, Oregon, and 22-year-old Felimon Guillen Montaz Jr. of Payette, Idaho.

Deputies with the Malheur County Sheriff's Office at about 2 p.m. on Sunday responded to a reported car crash and shooting near Ontario.

Undersheriff Travis Johnson says the three men were in the same car when the crash happened. Witnesses told authorities that gunshots occurred at about the same time as the crash.

Police say Miranda and Montaz ran from the scene.

The injured man was taken to a hospital in Ontario. His condition hasn't been released.
