LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles County health officials have extended a warning about possible dangers from swimming in the ocean following this week's rains.
The warning had been expected to expire Tuesday, but City News Service reports it will now stay in effect until at least 6 p.m. Friday.
Health officials say bacteria, chemicals, debris, trash and other things carried by storm water could be harmful to people who swim near storm drains, creeks and river outlets.
