LAS VEGAS (AP) — U.S. Marshals say a multi-agency task force arrested a 31-year-old Texas fugitive found in Las Vegas after he was charged with killing his mother.
The joint agency said Garth A. Claytor was arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on Friday as he awaits extradition to Texas for trial.
The agency says a warrant issued for Claytor includes a homicide charge in connection with the death of his mother in Collinsville, Texas.
Clark County Detention Center's online site shows Claytor has a hearing scheduled Tuesday but court records weren't immediately available.
It isn't clear if Claytor is represented by an attorney and attempts to locate his legal representation were unsuccessful. A request to interview Claytor in jail was unanswered.
