(AP) — Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump is becoming the Islamic State group's "best recruiter" with his call to temporarily bar Muslims from entering the U.S. In tonight's Democratic debate, Clinton said she understands people are fearful after the attacks in Paris and California. But she says, "Mr. Trump has a great capacity to use bluster and bigotry to inflame people."
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Bernie Sanders says Muslim-majority nations should take the lead in fighting the Islamic State group. Sanders says there should be an international coalition including Russia that fights the extremists. But he says troops on the ground must be Muslims, and not American troops. He made the comments during tonight's Democratic presidential debate.
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — The family of the husband and wife who killed 14 people at a holiday party in San Bernardino is removing personal items from the couple's home in the Redlands, California. The Press-Enterprise reports Syed Farook's relatives arrived at his townhome in a U-Haul truck this morning.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Officials say a large mall in Wisconsin reopened a few hours after a shooting during one of the busiest shopping days of the holiday season. One man was wounded in today's shooting at the East Towne Mall. Madison police say the 19-year-old man was hit in the leg during a dispute that turned violent inside the mall. Police are searching for a suspect.
NEW YORK (AP) — Martin Shkreli (SHKREL'-ee) says fraud allegations against him are "baseless and without merit." The bad-boy ex-pharmaceutical company CEO tweeted today: "I am confident I will prevail." The former hedge fund manager pleaded not guilty Thursday in a New York federal court and was released on $5 million bail. Shkreli was charged with securities fraud and conspiracy.
