TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arnecia Hawkins scored 17 points, and No. 21 Arizona State led by as many as 21 on its way to a 90-80 victory over Marquette on Saturday.

Arizona State (7-3) went 7 for 8 at the free-throw line in the last 57 seconds, holding on after its big lead was trimmed to eight. The Sun Devils went 22 for 29 at the line in their highest scoring game of the season.

Arizona State went ahead 65-44 on Sabrina Haines' 3-pointer late in the third quarter, and Marquette began to claw back. Allazia Blockton, Natisha Hiedeman and Erika Davenport combined on an 11-4 surge. Davenport's bucket made it 83-75 with 1:10 remaining but Marquette came no closer.

Elisha Davis had 11 points and 11 assists for Arizona State. Sophie Brunner added 14 points.

Blockton led Marquette with 22 points. Erika Davenport was 9 for 11 from the floor and finished with 18 points with 10 rebounds.
