CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — North Las Vegas officials say they want electric carmaker Faraday Future's $1 billion plant to their city, but are concerned they're on the hook for too much money if the project goes belly up. City officials testified today during a special legislative session in Carson City on a bill that would authorize $120 million in publicly financed infrastructure improvements.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified the man suspected of shooting an officer and then eluding police in Las Vegas before being arrested in a golf course community miles away. Las Vegas police say that the man arrested was 38-year-old Teag Fox. The officer is expected to recover.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Clark County District Attorney is considering charges against a former Boulder City animal control supervisor accused of improperly euthanizing more than 100 animals. Mary Jo Frazier has been accused of violating the city code requiring a five-day waiting period and veterinarian review before an animal is killed. She couldn't be reached for comment.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 20-year-old Reno man has been convicted of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon after he fired multiple gunshots while trying to make off with $300 worth of stolen tools from a Home Depot in August. Jared Johnson faces up to 48 years in prison after a Washoe District Court jury found him guilty yesterday.
