MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Perrin Buford had a season-high 20 points to go with seven rebounds on Thursday night and Middle Tennessee beat Belmont 83-62 to win its third straight.

Middle Tennessee (7-2) pulled away early in the second half with a 17-7 run while holding Belmont (7-5) to one field goal over a 10-minute stretch.

The Blue Raiders scored a season-high 46 points in the first half, closing with an 11-4 run to go into the break leading by 11.

Buford shot 9 of 14 from the field while Giddy Potts added 15 points and Darnell Harris scored 13. The Blue Raiders outrebounded Belmont 46-36.

Craig Bradshaw was 3 of 7 from 3-point range to lead the Bruins with 16 points. Evan Bradds and Tyler Hadden each scored 10 points. Bradds also grabbed 13 boards.
