NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Nampa city officials have selected a developer to restore its historic public library building. The Idaho Press reports that the Nampa Development Corporation has chosen the Mussell Construction to develop the old library, which was left vacant when a new library opened this year.

PARMA, Idaho (AP) — Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a barn at a Canyon County goat dairy. KTVB-TV reports that no people or goats were hurt in the fire last night at Rollingstone Chevre in Parma. Firefighters say the barn is a total loss.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Legislation that has cleared Congress includes an additional $600 million to fight wildfires next year but no long-term fix to firefighting's havoc on the U.S. Forest Service budget. The Forest Service spent a record $1.7 billion fighting fires this year.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A man charged with manslaughter in a fatal head-on crash that killed a father and his two young daughters is scheduled to go to trial this summer. The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that 27-year-old Ryan Turner has pleaded not guilty. Court documents show Turner had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.155 percent, which is above the legal limit.
