HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — A bell ringing is set on the Marshall University campus to honor late President Stephen J. Kopp.

Kopp died suddenly a year ago Thursday after being hospitalized for an illness.

The ringing from the bell tower at the Morrow Library will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday. The bells can be heard throughout campus.

Marshall says in a news release that the bells will ring 10 times in honor of President Kopp's nearly 10 years of service to the university.
