ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia State University Police Department has made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on campus.
Police tell local media outlets that 38-year-old Daniel Duplessy was arrested Wednesday on charges of armed robbery and an outstanding failure to appear warrant.
An incident report says a student was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon inside Library North. The student wasn't injured, but his cellphone and laptop were stolen. An image of the suspect was caught on surveillance video, which helped lead to Duplessy's arrest.
Deputy Chief Carlton Mullis says robberies have occurred around and inside buildings in the past, but they are rare.
