RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — T.J. Cline scored 27 points with four rebounds and four assists as Richmond beat Old Dominion 77-61 on Wednesday night.
Cline finished with 11-of-16 shooting from the field including five 3-pointers for the Spiders (7-3). Terry Allen posted a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. The team averaged 57.4 percent shooting from the field and 63.6 percent from the line.
Cline sank back-to-back 3-pointers to cap a 12-2 run and give the Spiders a 23-11 lead with 8:24 to go in the first half. They led 36-22 at the break.
Cline dropped three more treys as part of a 20-10 surge to open the second half and Richmond led 56-32 with 11:53 to play and the Spiders cruised from there.
Trey Freeman led the Monarchs (4-6) with 15 points. Denzell Taylor had a double-double, scoring 10 points with 10 rebounds.
