MORROW, Ga. (AP) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is searching for a witness to the November shooting death of a 23-year-old man at an apartment complex at Clayton State University.

The Department of Public Safety at Clayton State University was responding to a report of gunshots on Nov. 9 at Clayton Station Apartments when they found Ty'ron Davis lying in the breezeway.

Davis was transported to Southern Regional Medical Center but died.

GBI investigators say in a statement released Tuesday that 23-year-old Marcel Drayton has been identified as a witness. The statement says Drayton most recently lived in Hampton, Georgia and still is believed to be in the area.

He drives a silver 2015 Chrysler 200 with the Georgia tag number CDR3869.

Information is being accepted at a tip line, 800-597-8477.
