LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say a woman with a shotgun was shot and killed by SWAT officers after an hours-long standoff at a residence in a neighborhood north of downtown.

Officer Larry Hadfield says the woman was armed when she was shot a little after 2 p.m. Monday at a home on Aviation Street.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity wasn't immediately disclosed.

Hadfield says there were no other injuries.

Police SWAT officers and a crisis negotiation team were called a little before 11 a.m. to a report that a woman was threatening to kill herself and officers who arrived at the house.

The address is near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Craig Road, not far from Nellis Boulevard.
