NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 20-year-old woman who was killed and a 19-year-old man who was arrested on a murder charge after a brawl erupted in gunfire in a North Las Vegas convenience store parking lot.

Police said Monday that Norman Smith of North Las Vegas was arrested after the shooting a little before 10 p.m. Sunday near Craig Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Smith is being held at the Las Vegas City Jail pending an initial court appearance. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.

The Clark County coroner identified the dead woman as Tineshea Antovia Adams of Las Vegas.

Police Officer Steven Wiese corrected earlier reports to say it doesn't appear the shooting stemmed from a domestic relationship.

Wiese says it's not clear what the fight was about. Several people were involved.

But he says Adams and Smith knew each other before the slaying.
