KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — A Florida defense attorney has been charged with child neglect after authorities say her 2-year-old was found wandering the courthouse alone.

A witness told Osceola County Sheriff's deputies that the toddler was knocking on the door to the break room, crying and asking for his mother on Thursday. Authorities say they found Alicia Warner two floors down. Deputies say they reviewed courthouse video that showed she left the child alone in the break room for more than 20 minutes.

She told authorities she was checking on him periodically.

Thirty-three-year-old Warner was charged with one count of child neglect without great bodily harm. The child was released to his father.

An email seeking comment from Warner was not immediately returned Friday.
