KANO, Nigeria (AP) — An official says a fire has gutted the dormitories of a girls' high school in northern Kano state, killing 7 students and injuring 25.
Deputy Kano state Gov. Hafiz Abubakar said Monday that a committee will investigate the cause.
He said Sunday night's fire gutted the hostel of the Government Girls' Secondary School in Gezawa, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) from Kano city.
