Morehead State's late field goal upends Marist 20-17

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Shavi Bash's 37-yard field goal with 16 seconds left gave Morehead State a 20-17 win over Marist on Saturday.

Bash hit a 25 yarder earlier in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 17.

Morehead State (7-4, 6-2 Pioneer Football League) receiver Jake Raymond threw a 44-yard touchdown to Tanner Napier for a 7-0 lead. Marist came back to take a 10-7 lead when Michael White threw an 11-yard pass to Juston Christian and Mike Maccarone made a 42-yard field goal before the half.

Austin Gahafer connected with Raymond on a 13-yarder for a 14-10 Morehead State lead. Marcellus Calhoun's 1-yard plunge put the Red Foxes back up 17-14 before the third quarter ended.

Marist's (5-6, 4-4) White was 18-for-32 passing with 250 yards, a touchdown and a pick. Matt Tralli had six receptions for 118 yards.

Gahafer was 32-for-56 passing for 267 yards.
