Michelle Obama to speak at Old Dominion University this week

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to speak at FNV Live! at Old Dominion University in Norfolk later this week.

According to a news release, Obama will be joined Friday by a number of celebrities speaking and performing at the event, which aims to raise awareness about nutrition and healthy meal options.

FNV, which stands for fruit and vegetables, launched this year and has focused marketing campaigns at grocery stores around Hampton Roads and Fresno, California.

Singers Jordin Sparks, Ashanti and Estelle are among the celebrities making an appearance.

Doors at the Ted Constant Convocation Center open at 1 p.m. Show starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are being given to students in the area. A limited number will be available to the public via social media.
