NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Harkey is returning to the New York Yankees as bullpen coach after two seasons as Arizona's pitching coach.

Harkey was fired by the Diamondbacks after the season and the Yankees announced his hiring Monday. Harkey was New York's bullpen coach from 2008-13 and was replaced by Gary Tuck, who held the job for two seasons.

First base coach Tony Pena is adding the additional role of catching instructor.
