FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has left the game against Kansas with an apparent injury.

Television footage showed Boykin limping to the locker room after a sack late in the first quarter Saturday. On a play earlier in the quarter, the Heisman Trophy candidate fell awkwardly on his right ankle as he slipped while trying to cut and was tackled by Kansas linebacker Joe Dineen Jr.

There was no immediate injury update on the career passing leader for the 13th-ranked Horned Frogs.

Bram Kohlhausen, a senior transfer from Houston, replaced Boykin in the second quarter. Boykin returned to the sideline, but didn't go back in the game.

Receiver Josh Doctson played in the first quarter but didn't have a catch after injuring his wrist in last week's loss to Oklahoma State.
