TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Investigators say a Jerome man who was arrested in Utah last month shot a mechanic because the other man was having an affair with his wife.
The Times-News reports that 37-year-old Isaac Licano-Serrano is out of jail after posting $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing set for Thursday was postponed to Tuesday.
Licano-Serrano is charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery for the shooting of 63-year-old Ricardo Nunez. Nunez, of Shoshone, drove himself to the hospital Oct. 5 after being shot in the chest.
Licano-Serrano was arrested in Utah. Prosecutors say he was fleeing to Mexico, though his defense attorney contends that he was on a family vacation at an amusement part in Utah.
