SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Supreme Court is weighing a lawsuit filed by a woman who says polygamous leader Warren Jeffs forced her to marry her cousin when she was 14. Elissa Wall is asking for as much as $40 million in damages from the sect's communal property trust, which is now controlled by the state. Her testimony against Jeffs helped convict him in 2007 of being an accomplice to her rape in Utah.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah fisherman are celebrating a ruling this that reopens about 2,700 miles of rivers and streams that were off limits for public access due to a state law that has been invalidated. A State Judge decided to nullify a 2010 state law that restricted public access to the waterways. The state is expected to appeal the ruling.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A group seeking term limits in Utah says they're abandoning a ballot initiative after elections officials denied the proposal. Utah Term Limits Now has been fighting a ruling from Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox's office that the initiative was unconstitutional. The group says the state Supreme Court won't consider the issue until December and that won't give them enough time to gather signatures next spring in order to make it on the November 2016 ballot.

LOA, Utah (AP) — A judge has ruled that there is enough evidence against a 17-year-old Utah boy for him to stand trial for manslaughter. Wayne County sheriff's deputies testified that the teen strangled his uncle during an alcohol-fueled fight. Police say 32-year-old Jerimiah James was killed at a Fremont home on Oct. 3.
