LONDON (AP) — Germany's Lufthansa Group says it's suspending all flights to and from Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh "due to the current situation on the Sinai Peninsula." That's where a Russian plane crashed on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board. British Prime Minister David Cameron says it's "more likely than not" that a bomb brought down the Metrojet flight packed with Russian vacationers.

FOX LAKE, Ill. (AP) — An official says the wife and son of an Illinois police lieutenant who killed himself during a probe of the youth program he ran are also under criminal investigation. The official, who was briefed on the investigation, says it centers on the Fox Lake Police Explorer Post from which Lt. Charles Gliniewicz (GLIHN'-uh-wihts) allegedly stole thousands of dollars over the course of seven years. Authorities revealed the embezzlement investigation Wednesday and confirmed weeks of suspicion that Gliniewicz killed himself and staged the scene to look like he died in the line of duty.

NEW YORK (AP) — The stock market is nearly flat as investors weigh mixed corporate earnings and await the release of the government's monthly jobs report Friday. Facebook shares rose 5 percent after it reported strong revenue and profit growth. The government reported today that more Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week, but levels remain near historic lows as employers are hesitant to let go of workers. And there's also word that U.S. productivity slowed in the summer while labor costs rebounded, yet stayed at a level suggesting only modest inflation pressures.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two watchdog groups have filed a complaint with the Justice Department about a nonprofit group that supports Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio. It has so far spent $8 million in advertisements promoting Rubio. The watchdog groups allege that the Conservative Solutions Project was set up primarily for Rubio's benefit. That would be a potential violation of tax law.

OAKLAND, Maine (AP) — Police in central Maine say two women and a man were shot to death inside a house, and the gunman's body was found outside. According to authorities, the three victims and the gunman shared the home, which was divided into two apartments. A 4-year-old girl was found unharmed inside the house. She's been turned over to relatives.
