Chattanooga wins 7th straight, beats Western Carolina 41-13

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Jacob Huesman had 359 total yards, Derrick Craine rushed for a career-high four touchdowns, and Chattanooga beat Western Carolina 41-13 on Saturday for the Mocs' seventh win in a row.

Huesman was 14-of-15 passing for 191 yards and carried it 20 times for 168 yards with one touchdown for Chattanooga (7-1, 5-0 Southern). It was the Mocs' 12th straight conference victory.

Seven Chattanooga rushers totaled 356 yards compared to just 105 yards rushing for Western Carolina.

Chattanooga built a 35-6 lead at halftime behind Craine's touchdown runs of 1, 5, 6 and 21 yards. Henrique Ribeiro made two field goals in the second half for the Mocs.

Troy Mitchell threw for 178 yards and one touchdown for Western Carolina (5-3, 3-2), which had its four-game winning streak snapped. Steffon Hill had five catches for 72 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown catch in the third.
