TORONTO (AP) — Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion has undergone surgery to repair a sports hernia.
Toronto said Tuesday the designated hitter/first baseman is expected to recover in time for spring training.
Encarnacion hit .333 with 39 homers and 111 RBIs for the Blue Jays, who lost to Kansas City in the AL Championship Series.
