SOELDEN, Austria (AP) — Overall World Cup champions Marcel Hirscher and Anna Fenninger have been voted skiers of the year by journalists.

The international association of ski journalists said Thursday it chose both Austrians for the Skieur d'Or-Serge Lang Trophy, its annual award named after the founder of Alpine skiing's World Cup in the 1960s.

Hirscher became the first male skier to win the overall title four years in a row, while Fenninger won her second straight crystal globe and added two gold medals at the world championships in February.

Fenninger, who has been ruled out of the upcoming season after damaging her knee in a training crash, also picked up the trophy last year, while Hirscher won before in 2012.
