IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Law enforcement officials in eastern Idaho say a 43-year-old Oklahoma man piloting a small plane died and his 14-year-old daughter was injured when the aircraft crashed Thursday night.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's office says Travis M. Hamilton of Edmond died when the single-engine plane crashed near Swan Valley.
Emergency workers learned of the crash when the girl called 911. She was taken to a nearby hospital by an air ambulance, which was able to land near the crash site.
Authorities say the girl is in good condition at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Authorities recovered the man's body on Friday.
Federal authorities are investigating the crash.
