KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A fire official in Kansas City, Missouri says two firefighters were killed Monday night and two others were injured when a burning building collapsed. The firefighters who were killed managed to rescue two people. The building, which includes apartments, was evacuated. Crews continue to battle the fire.

CHAPIN, S.C. (AP) — Travelers on I-95 in South Carolina will soon be able to make it through the state without a two-hour detour delay that resulted from devastating flooding that has hit the state. A section of the southbound lanes that was closed for eight days reopened Monday. The northbound lanes in the same section are expected to reopen Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon is denying that the U.S. military has directly delivered weapons to Syrian Kurds. A local Kurdish official in the northern Syrian city of Kobani said the U.S. had provided 120 tons of weapons and ammunition to the main Kurdish militia. The military says U.S. cargo planes have dropped small arms ammunitions to Arab groups fighting the Islamic State.

LAS VEGAS (AP) —Hillary Rodham Clinton has gotten in some digs at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump. Speaking at a labor rally in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Clinton said Trump isn't funny when he insults immigrants and women. Clinton is in Las Vegas early for Tuesday's Democratic presidential debate.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Jury deliberations are expected to continue Tuesday in Milwaukee in a negligence lawsuit against a gun shop that sold the weapon used to wound two police officers. Authorities have said more than 500 firearms recovered from crime scenes had been traced back to Badger Guns and Badger Outdoors, making it the "No. 1 crime gun dealer in America."
