GRAMBING, La. (AP) — Jonathan Williams threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score as Grambling State extended its conference winning streak to four games by beating Alabama A&M 37-14 on Saturday.

Williams had 255 yards passing for the Tigers (4-2, 4-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Martinez Carter rushed for 123 yards.

Grambling State scored four first-half touchdowns including Williams' 37-yard scoring run and a scoring pass to Verlon Hunter in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Williams connected with Chad Williams for a 23-yard TD and Chester Rogers scored on a 64-yard punt return. The Tigers led 27-7 at halftime.

AAMU scored in the third quarter on a 46-yard interception return to make it 27-14. But Williams answered with a touchdown pass to Rogers, extending GSU's lead to 34-14 with 6:33 left in the third quarter. Marc Orozco kicked a field goal early in the fourth to seal the win.
