STAUNTON, Va. (AP) — The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library is launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for a digital document project.
The library is working to digitize Wilson's papers. The crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo seeks to raise $14,000, the amount needed to complete the project's first phase.
In addition to raising funds, library lead archivist Elizabeth Short tells The News-Virginian (http://bit.ly/1M3pV2Z ) that the campaign will get the word out about the project.
She says most of the first phase's $179,000 cost was raised through grants from foundations. Funding for the second phase isn't set yet.
The campaign runs through Oct. 31.
