LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) — Cumberland University is adding men's and women's outdoor track and field programs in the 2016-17 school year.
Athletic director Ron Pavan announced the decision Tuesday in a school release.
Cumberland, an NAIA school, hasn't offered track as a varsity sport in over 50 years. The school does have men's and women's cross country teams already.
The school plans to hire a track coach later this fall.
