SALT LAKE CITY — All three Utah-based FBS schools won their season openers in Week 1 of the college football season.

Two escaped with wins after Week 2, strictly because Utah faced long-time in-state rival Utah State in the "Battle of Brothers" on Friday night.

KSL's Jeremiah Jensen and Rod Zundel were joined by Hans Olsen and Christian Cox of 1280 The Zone to break down BYU's 35-24 win over then-No. 20 Boise State, as well as to take a look back at Friday night's 24-14 victory by Utah in the brotherly affair.

The group looks at Tanner Mangum's poise in pressure situations, the deep threat of receivers Mitch Juergens and Devon Blackmon, and the defensive pressure against the Broncos.

On the Utah side, Britain Covey has been a revelation for Utah early in the season, and Kendal Thompson could be the go-to guy for the Utes while starting quarterback Travis Wilson nurses an injury.

The guests also look at what went well for Utah State, despite the loss, including Chuckie Keeton's resurgence a week before a big road trip to Seattle for a matchup against Washington.

Both wins catapulted BYU and Utah to Nos. 19 and 21 in the AP Top 25, respectively, marking the first time two schools from the state of Utah have been ranked at the same time since 2009.
