SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say they've arrested a man with burned feet in connection with a grassfire in West Point.
The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1JSP6CE) that police say 29-year-old Corey Jay Halvorson swore at firefighters early Tuesday morning and tried to keep them from dousing the blaze, even locking himself in a fire truck at one point.
High winds fed the fire, which burned about 100 acres Tuesday morning.
Police say he was alone and wearing only shorts when he approached fire crews near the Bayview Duck Club. He was treated for the burns and arrested on suspicion of reckless burning, trespassing and criminal mischief, among other charges.
No attorney was immediately listed for him in court records.
