They're being told to take a $5.2 million "last best offer" for their property by Thursday — or the government will seize it through condemnation. Air Force officials are calling it a matter of national security.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The tour bus driver who died after a BMW crashed into it near downtown Las Vegas over Labor day weekend has been identified. The Clark County coroner's office says 53-year-old Jose Cosenza, of Las Vegas, died in the Saturday morning crash.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police are looking for two men suspected of shooting at three people and leaving one woman dead. KLAS-TV reports a man was walking with two women early yesterday when they encountered the suspects. A verbal altercation ensued and shots were fired. The woman who was killed has not yet been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas police officer is being treated for a gunshot wound in his hand after being shot while stopped at a traffic light. Metro Police tell the Las Vegas Sun reports that two officers were on their way to respond to a call about a disturbance at a store Sunday afternoon when a man approached on foot and fired a weapon several times at their car, hitting one of the officers. The uninjured policeman pursued the suspect and caught him.
