HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Hamden police say a Southern Connecticut State University student was trying to buy drugs when he was robbed by two men near campus early Saturday.
Police said the 18-year-old man was on a sidewalk in front of the 190 Pinerock Avenue apartments when he was approached by two men with handguns who stole "a large sum of money" from him.
The men ran away after the 12:30 a.m. incident. The student wasn't injured.
Police said Sunday they are still looking for the two men. Anyone with information is asked to call Hamden police at 203-230-4040.
