COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri running back Russell Hansbrough and center Evan Boehm have been sidelined with sprained ankles in the opener.

Hansbrough had his right leg in a cast at the start of the second half Saturday against Southeast Missouri State.

Hansbrough had two carries for 23 yards early in the game. He was injured on his second carry, a 20-yard gain.

Boehm hobbled off the field in the first quarter but returned to finish the half.

Sophomore Ish Witter replaced Hansbrough and Alec Abeln moved from guard to center.
