WINNSBORO, La. (AP) — A coroner's investigator in north Louisiana says a high school football player has died from an injury during a game.

Johnny Ogden, an investigator with the Franklin Parish coroner's office, says the Franklin Parish High School player collapsed on the field after impact with another player on Friday night. He was transported to the emergency room at Franklin Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Ogden says he cannot release the name of the player at this time because relatives are still being notified.

Sheriff Kevin Cobb identified the victim as 16-year-old Tyrell Cameron.

Franklin Parish coach Kenneth Sebren tells KNOE-TV in Monroe (http://bit.ly/1g0uoG6) that the injury occurred during the fourth quarter of a game against Sterlington.
