NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police say a 28-year-old man has died after being shot in a convenience store parking lot early Monday morning.

North Las Vegas police said officers responded to the shooting shortly after 1 a.m. in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard about 3 miles northeast of Fremont Street.

Police say they suspect the man got into an argument with a group of people in the parking lot before being shot. The suspected shooter ran from the scene and hasn't been identified or found.

The agency says the man died at University Medical Center.
