HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities say a man was fatally shot near an elementary school in southwest Houston.
According to Houston police, a man was shot around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Benavidez Elementary School. Police say the victim, who has not been identified, was found in a parking lot, where paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
